Our Story
Founded in 1977 by Janice W. Gay and a dedicated group of advocates, the Epilepsy Society of Southern New York has transformed from a grassroots initiative into a vital nonprofit organization. In 2006, Capabilities Partnership Inc. was established to enhance services for individuals with various disabilities. The merger in 2014 allowed both organizations to continue their mission of supporting individuals with epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological, physical, and developmental disabilities.
