Our Story

The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, established in 2007, is a dedicated local affiliate of The International Cancer Support Community. This organization is the largest in the nation focused on delivering emotional support and education to individuals affected by cancer, including patients, caregivers, and children, all at no cost. Founded by passionate volunteers who have experienced the impact of cancer firsthand, the organization understands that effective cancer care extends beyond medical treatment.

Impact

In the past fiscal year, the Cancer Support Community provided over 51,000 hours of support groups, nearly 7,000 hours of individual counseling, and 33,631 hours of healthy lifestyle programs. Additionally, $590,000 in financial assistance was granted to families facing cancer challenges, showcasing the profound impact of community support.
