Established in 2001 by a dedicated group of volunteers, the Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF) aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by cancer patients in Vermont. Initially focused on funding psychological and nutritional counseling services, CPSF has evolved to prioritize its Emergency Fund, which assists patients with essential living expenses during treatment. Since its inception, CPSF has awarded over $3 million to local patients, ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.

In 2023, CPSF served 514 cancer patients, awarding $156,513 in funds and partnering with 75 local businesses through the Maggie Card program.
