Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Craig Pollard, a two-time cancer survivor, Cancer for College was born out of a desire to give back to the community. After experiencing the financial burden of cancer treatment, Craig recognized that many survivors faced additional challenges when pursuing their education. With the support of generous donors and volunteers, Cancer for College has grown from a small initiative into a national nonprofit organization.

Since its inception, Cancer for College has awarded over $3 million in scholarships to more than 1,000 cancer survivors. These scholarships have enabled students to attend colleges and universities across the country, providing them with the opportunity to pursue their academic and career goals.
