In the spring of 1980, nine courageous women from Houston came together, united by their personal experiences with cancer. Each had witnessed the devastating impact of this disease on their loved ones, inspiring them to take action. With a shared vision and a modest contribution of $100 each, they founded Cancer Fighters of Houston, Inc. This grassroots effort has since evolved into a powerful organization dedicated to combating cancer through fundraising, education, and support.
