Campus Outreach began in Birmingham, Alabama, as a vision of a local church pastor to reach college students at smaller campuses that were traditionally underserved by campus ministries. In 1978, evangelistic outreach commenced at Samford University, quickly expanding as students transferred to nearby colleges. This mission has led to the establishment of 23 ministry franchises across the United States and 13 locations in 10 other countries, impacting thousands of students.
Over 55,000 students have encountered the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelistic events, with more than 30,000 young leaders receiving intensive leadership training.
