Our Story

Founded in 1944 by Dean Louis Hurwich and Mrs. Leah Hurwich, Camp Yavneh has been a beacon of Jewish education and community. Over the decades, it has embraced a diverse Jewish community, fostering lifelong friendships and connections to Jewish identity.

For over 70 years, Camp Yavneh has welcomed more than 6,000 young Jewish campers, providing enriching summer experiences that emphasize Jewish values and community.
