Founded in 1927 by Walter Stephenson, Camp Whitley began as a simple appreciation outing for students. The first session of the Whitley County Boys and Girls Camp took place in 1928 at Troy Cedar Lake. Over the decades, the camp has evolved into a cherished nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing enriching experiences for youth.
