About Camp Sunshine

Founded in 1982 by pediatric nurse Dorothy Jordan, Camp Sunshine provides a unique camp experience for children with cancer, allowing them to be kids again. Starting with just 44 campers, the program has expanded to serve over 400 campers and 225 volunteers each summer. The camp offers two weeks of summer activities and year-round programs across Georgia, including recreational outings and educational support for families, all at no cost.
