About Camp Sunshine

Founded in 1982 by pediatric nurse Dorothy Jordan, Camp Sunshine provides a unique camp experience for children with cancer, allowing them to be kids again. Starting with just 44 campers, the camp has expanded significantly, now serving over 400 campers and 225 volunteers each summer. The camp offers two weeks of summer fun, along with year-round recreational, educational, and support programs for families throughout Georgia.
