Our Story

Founded in 2012 by passionate education professionals, Camp Phoenix is dedicated to ensuring that every child in Oakland has access to a meaningful summer experience. The organization bridges the summer gap for middle school students, fostering joy, adventure, and leadership opportunities.

Impact

Since its inception, Camp Phoenix has served 467 campers, with each participant gaining an average of two months in reading and math skills. The program partners with five Oakland schools and aims to expand its reach, with over 90% of campers reporting increased confidence in their leadership abilities.
