Our Story

Founded in February 1989 by Becky Loy in memory of her daughter Sara, Camp HOPE is Wisconsin's first camp dedicated to grieving children. Inspired by a similar camp in another state, Becky created a nurturing environment where children can connect and heal. Today, under the leadership of her daughter Maria Loy Carson, Camp HOPE continues to provide essential support for families dealing with loss.

Impact

Camp HOPE offers a free weekend camp that allows grieving children and families to share their experiences and emotions in a safe space. Through engaging activities and peer support, the camp fosters healing and hope, positively impacting thousands of lives since its inception.
