Transforming Education for Every Child
Founded in 1999, Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) was established by the Pueblo Nuevo Education and Development Group in collaboration with the MacArthur Park community. This initiative arose from the belief that every child deserves access to high-quality public education, regardless of their background. Today, CNCA operates six schools across seven campuses, serving over 3,200 students from early childhood through high school. The focus is on personalized learning, rigorous academic standards, and a supportive environment that fosters growth and achievement.
Proven Impact on Student Success
At Camino Nuevo, 100% of high school seniors graduate meeting the admissions requirements for the University of California and California State University systems. In 2021, 76% of graduates enrolled in postsecondary education, significantly higher than the national average for low-income students. The commitment to educational equity has earned CNCA numerous state and national awards, showcasing the effectiveness of its approach.
