Our Story

Founded in 1971 by visionary educators, Cambridge College began as the Institute of Open Education, dedicated to providing innovative graduate programs for working adults. Over the decades, it evolved into a recognized nonprofit educational institution, expanding its reach with regional centers in California and Puerto Rico. In 2021, the college celebrated its golden anniversary, and in 2024, it was acquired by Bay Path University, further enhancing its mission to deliver accessible education to diverse learners.
