Our Story
In the early 1980s, a wave of Cambodian refugees fleeing the brutal Khmer Rouge regime found a new home in Orange County, California. In 1982, a small group of these refugees established The Cambodian Family, pooling their resources to assist fellow Cambodians in the Minnie Street neighborhood of Santa Ana. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach, now serving immigrants and refugees from diverse backgrounds, including those from Vietnam, Laos, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine, Bosnia, Ethiopia, and Somalia.
