Our Story

The Cambodian American Community Council of Washington (CACCWA) was founded in 2015 during a gathering to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Cambodian Genocide. This organization serves the Cambodian American community by preserving cultural identity and addressing the needs of current and future generations. CACCWA has evolved from a grassroots initiative into a trusted messenger, developing culturally relevant programs that foster intergenerational and intercultural connections.

Our Impact

CACCWA has significantly expanded its efforts, providing critical relief during the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting Cambodian-owned small businesses through initiatives like the Small Business Resiliency Network. The organization celebrates academic achievements through annual scholarship and graduation ceremonies and has launched Digital Navigator initiatives to promote digital equity.
