Calvary International Development Ministries Inc (CIDM) was founded by Dave and Darlys Bird in response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Recognizing the potential of the Haitian people, the Birds dedicated their lives to sharing the love of Jesus Christ while providing essential vocational skills. Since its inception in 2011, CIDM has been on a mission to empower Haitians, helping them break free from the cycle of poverty through education, discipleship, and practical training.

Empowering Through Education and Skills

With a focus on vocational training, CIDM has successfully trained over 100 Haitians in various American-standard skills, including construction, plumbing, and electrical work. This hands-on approach not only equips individuals with valuable skills but also provides them with employment opportunities, allowing them to support their families and communities. Additionally, CIDM has made significant strides in evangelism, reaching thousands through public school outreach and discipleship programs.

Impacting the Future of Haiti

Through the New Life Discipleship program, CIDM is nurturing the next generation of Christian leaders in Haiti. By teaching biblical principles in public high schools, CIDM has reached over 4,500 un-churched students, instilling in them the values of faith and leadership. The organization’s efforts have led to transformative experiences, including a Christian concert that resulted in 600 youth accepting Christ.
