Our Story

Founded in 1992 by Charlotte Lankard, Jason Woodruff, and Sondra Woodruff, Calm Waters Center for Children and Families emerged from a personal tragedy. The organization is dedicated to helping bereaved children and families navigate their grief journey after significant losses, such as death or divorce.

Since its inception, Calm Waters has positively impacted over 65,000 individuals in the Greater Oklahoma City Metro Area, offering free grief support services to those affected by loss.
