Our Story

With over 75 years of dedication, the California Waterfowl Association (CWA) has been at the forefront of conserving waterfowl and wetlands in California. Founded by passionate individuals, CWA has grown through the commitment of its members, boards, staff, and volunteers, focusing on restoring wetland ecosystems and advocating for responsible hunting practices.

Our Impact

CWA has successfully restored thousands of acres of wetlands, significantly increasing waterfowl populations. Through educational programs, thousands of students have learned about the importance of conservation and hunting. Volunteer-driven initiatives, like the California Wood Duck Program, have played a crucial role in the recovery of wood duck populations across the Pacific Flyway.
