Our Story
The California Telehealth Network (CTN) was founded in 2007 by a coalition of healthcare, technology, and governmental agencies. With a significant grant of $22.1 million from the FCC, CTN established a medical-grade telecommunications network to expand broadband access in rural and underserved areas of California. In 2012, CTN became an independent 501c3 nonprofit, taking control of the California Telehealth Resource Center in 2011. The organization is dedicated to increasing access to healthcare through innovative telehealth and telemedicine solutions.
