For over 30 years, California Regional Theater has been a beacon of creativity and education in the performing arts. Founded by Bob Maness, who began his theatrical journey at the age of 17, CRT has evolved into a premier theater production group dedicated to delivering exceptional performances while nurturing the talents of students of all ages. With a mission statement that prioritizes 'People above project,' CRT believes in investing time and resources into individuals, fostering an environment of positive encouragement that allows performances to flourish.

Our Journey

Since its inception in 2012, California Regional Theater has made significant strides in the North State of California. Starting with a handful of actors in the production of "Peter Pan," CRT has grown to become a leading theater venue, showcasing critically acclaimed Broadway shows such as "Les Miserables," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and "Beauty and the Beast." The opening of the Black Box Theatre in 2017 introduced an intimate setting for performances, enhancing the audience experience with unique seating and complimentary wine.

Empowering the Next Generation

CRT KIDS, the youth theater division, has seen remarkable growth since its launch, expanding from 13 students to over 230 participants aged 5-16. Divided into age-appropriate classes, these young performers come together to present Broadway Jr. shows three times a year, enriching their lives and the lives of their families. With over 100 shows performed, CRT KIDS has made a lasting impact on the community, instilling confidence and a love for the arts in countless children.

Community Engagement and Education

As a committed community partner, California Regional Theater actively seeks collaborations with charities, educational institutions, and other nonprofit organizations. Through various educational opportunities, including children's theater, youth theater, actor workshops, and dance classes, CRT aims to give back to the community while nurturing the next generation of artists.
