Our Story

The California Local Conservation Corps Foundation was established in September 2023 to support the 14 Local Conservation Corps (LCCs) throughout California. This foundation aims to cultivate statewide opportunities, training, and resources, funded by federal and philanthropic support, alongside nearly 40 years of state funding. By elevating the LCCs, the Foundation connects a network of partners dedicated to empowering thousands of young people across the state.

Impact

Over the past 40 years, corpsmembers have tackled some of the toughest personal and environmental challenges in communities statewide. They have restored 360,000 miles of trails, planted 44,000 trees, and collected 3.4 million pounds of e-waste, making a significant impact on California's environment.
