Our Story
In 1972, thirty dedicated officers from Northern California law enforcement agencies gathered in Concord, California, to form the Northern California Crime Prevention Officers Association. This initiative was followed by the establishment of the Southern California Crime Prevention Officers Association in 1974. The two associations united in 1975, creating the California Crime Prevention Officers Association (CCPOA), which became a non-profit organization in 1983. Today, CCPOA serves over 450 members, fostering collaboration and information exchange among law enforcement agencies across California.
