Our Story

California CASA Association was established in 1987 to empower local programs dedicated to advocating for children in foster care. Initially, only 17% of California Superior Courts had access to CASA volunteers. Through dedication and collaboration, the network has expanded to serve children and courts in 52 counties, reaching 99% of foster youth in the state.

Impact

California CASA ensures that over 72,000 children and youth in foster care have a voice and access to essential services for a stable future. The organization is committed to providing every foster child in California with the transformative support of a CASA volunteer.
