Our Story

The California Child Care Resource & Referral Network, founded in 1980 by Patty Siegel, emerged from a pressing need for centralized child care resources in California. Following a pivotal study by the Rosenberg Foundation, the Network has grown to support local resource and referral agencies statewide, advocating for child care policies and providing essential training and resources to enhance child care quality and accessibility.

Impact

Through successful advocacy, the Network has secured state funding for resource and referral programs in every California county, significantly improving access to quality child care for families. This model has amplified the impact of local agencies on child care policy and community support.
