Our Story

The California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators (CAADE) was founded in 1984 by Dr. Dick Wilson to establish and uphold accreditation standards for Alcohol/Drug Studies Programs in California. CAADE is dedicated to promoting quality higher education in addiction studies through public policy education, advocacy, and the development of certification and licensure standards for addiction service professionals.

Our Impact

CAADE educates approximately 5,000 students each year from California community colleges and accredited universities, leading the way in curriculum and instruction in Addiction Studies Programs.
