Cal Bears in the Desert

Our Story

Cal Bears in the Desert was established in 2013 as a chartered member of the Cal Alumni Association, following nearly a decade of dedicated outreach to promote the University of California, Berkeley in the Coachella Valley. This initiative was born from the recognition of the need for a strong local presence of UC Berkeley alumni to enhance outreach efforts at local high schools, college fairs, and the College of the Desert. The organization aims to foster networking opportunities among alumni, current students, Cal parents, and local business professionals.
