Our Story

The Camas-Washougal Parent Co-op Preschool, founded by Mrs. Jerry Clary in 1940, stands as the first nursery school in the Camas-Washougal area. Initially a project of the American Association of University Women, it began in private homes and evolved into a community preschool, welcoming children from diverse backgrounds. Since 1999, the preschool has been located at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, maintaining its independence and secular approach while adapting to the needs of the community.
