About the Byron Saunders Foundation

Founded in 2002 in memory of a beloved friend, the Byron Saunders Foundation has been dedicated to serving the community of Central Ohio by providing Thanksgiving meals to families in need. What began as a small initiative by Brian Wollenburg in 1997 has grown into a significant effort that has touched the lives of thousands. Each year, the Foundation mobilizes volunteers to assemble and distribute meals, ensuring that families can share a warm Thanksgiving dinner together.

Our Impact

In 2022, the Byron Saunders Foundation proudly served over 5,000 families, and this year, the goal is to reach at least 6,000 families. The Foundation partners with local schools, churches, and charitable organizations to ensure that food reaches those who need it most, with dignity and respect.
