Our Story

Founded in 1984 in Chico, California, Butte Home Health & Hospice is a state-licensed, Medicare-certified home health agency. As the first free-standing nonprofit certified hospice in Northern California, it has been dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families across Butte, Glenn, and Tehama counties.
