Our Story

The Bridge School began in early 2010 when a group of dedicated parents came together to create a cooperative elementary school for their children and the community. In the fall of that year, four families piloted a cooperative homeschooling model, teaching together and organizing adventurous field trips to enhance learning. By 2011, a full-time teacher was hired, and the school opened its doors to the public, welcoming 16 students in a K-2 multi-age classroom. By the end of 2012, The Bridge School became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, expanding to four multi-age classes serving children aged 5-11. The school thrives on active parent involvement and a commitment to progressive education, continually learning what it means to work together for the benefit of children.

Impact

The Bridge School supports whole child development by inspiring, cultivating, and protecting students in their intellectual, social, emotional, creative, and physical growth. This holistic approach helps children become not just good learners but also good people.
