The Buddhist Film Foundation (BFF) is the world’s leading resource for Buddhist-themed and inspired cinema. Founded in 2000 by filmmakers Ellen Bruno, Richard Kohn, and Gaetano Kazuo Maida, BFF utilizes the powerful medium of film to foster knowledge and appreciation of core Buddhist principles, such as compassion and respect for impermanence. Based in Oakland, California, BFF is dedicated to the exhibition, education, production, and preservation of Buddhist films.
