About Bucks Beautiful

Founded in the late 1980s by Robert and Joyce Byers, Bucks Beautiful was inspired by the stunning gardens of Europe. The Byers envisioned a similar initiative to beautify Bucks County, fostering community pride through lush public gardens. In 1990, with the support of Jack and Carol McCaughan, Bucks Beautiful became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the local landscape.

Our Mission

Bucks Beautiful aims to create vibrant gardens in towns, schools, parks, and public spaces throughout Bucks County. By engaging individuals, organizations, and businesses, the initiative promotes creative plantings that reflect variety, color, and visual impact.
