Discover the Rich History of Brunswick
For over 50 years, the Brunswick Heritage Museum has been dedicated to preserving the vibrant history of Brunswick, Maryland. Known as Berlin during the Civil War, this charming town along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal and the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad was incorporated in 1890. The Museum serves as a dual experience, showcasing the town's development through the B&O Railroad on the second floor, while the third floor features a stunning 1700 square foot HO Scale model railroad that illustrates the B&O Metropolitan Subdivision, extending from Brunswick’s rail yard to Union Station in Washington D.C.
Additionally, the Museum proudly houses the Brunswick Visitors Center for the National Park Service’s Chesapeake & Ohio National Historic Park, where the history of the C&O Canal is brought to life through captivating photographs and interactive displays.
