Founded in 2000, the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild is a vibrant community of 142 quilters from metro-Atlanta and beyond, dedicated to fostering the art and history of quilting with a special focus on African American traditions. This diverse group actively engages in community service, providing handmade quilts to children in foster care and those affected by Sickle Cell Anemia.

Our Impact

Through various initiatives, the guild has made a significant impact, including the donation of quilted purses to young people in Zambia for menstrual supplies and tribute quilts for families of local victims of violence. These efforts not only provide comfort but also preserve the rich history of African American quilting.
