Brown Neurology

Our Story

Brown Neurology, formerly known as The Neurology Foundation, Inc., was established in 1989 as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. It provides essential support to the missions of the Warren Alpert Medical School and Rhode Island Hospital, focusing on patient care, medical education, and neuroscience research. Initially founded by four physicians, Brown Neurology has grown to include fifteen dedicated physician members across several hospitals, including Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. In 2017, it became a member practice of Brown Physicians, Inc.

The physicians are actively engaged in groundbreaking research funded by federal sources, including the National Institutes of Health, exploring various neurological diseases.
