About Broward House

Founded in 1988 during the peak of the AIDS epidemic, Broward House began as a hospice for terminally ill, uninsured AIDS patients. It provided a safe haven for those suffering from extreme poverty and discrimination, allowing them to die with dignity. As medical advancements transformed HIV treatment, Broward House evolved its mission to empower individuals to live and thrive with HIV.

Our Impact

Today, Broward House operates a 74-bed transitional housing facility with 24-hour medical support and an onsite substance use treatment program. It is the largest provider of HIV case management services in Broward County, helping individuals achieve a suppressed viral load and significantly improving their quality of life.
