Brothers on the Rise (BOTR) began its journey in May 2008 at Edna Brewer Middle School in Oakland, California. Founded by Jon Gilgoff, BOTR has evolved from providing services to boys into a robust 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering young men of color. With a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and community partners, BOTR has established itself as a leader in youth empowerment.
