The Brother David Darst Center for Justice and Peace was founded in August 2002 by Br. Denis Murphy, alongside Thomas and Claudia Thomas, with vital support from Mercy Sisters Pat Murphy and JoAnn Persch. Established in response to the urgent need for social justice education among youth and young adults, the Center has evolved to offer transformative immersion retreats and workshops that inspire participants to engage in just living.
Through its programs, the Br. David Darst Center equips youth and young adults with the knowledge and tools necessary to confront social injustices, fostering a lifelong commitment to advocacy and community service.
