Our Story

Founded in 1984, Brooklyn Parents for Peace emerged in response to the U.S. invasion of Grenada. This grassroots organization has a rich history of mobilizing local opposition to military actions and advocating for peace and social justice. Over the years, it has expanded its focus from nuclear disarmament to a wide array of pressing issues, including civil liberties, military recruitment in schools, and the Israel-Palestine conflict.
