Brooklyn for Life! was established to support healthcare workers and local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initiated by Vito Randazzo as Operation Pizza, the project encouraged customers to order pizzas for delivery to Brooklyn Hospital staff. With the addition of Michael Thompson's Caribbean/Soul food, the initiative expanded to deliver over 1,500 meals daily from 32 partner restaurants.
Since its inception, Brooklyn for Life! has delivered over 170,000 meals to healthcare workers and first responders, significantly uplifting the local economy and community.
