Our Story

The Brooklyn Charter School, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is a pioneering educational institution established in 2000. Starting with just 78 students, BCS has expanded to serve hundreds, focusing on a rigorous academic program enriched by the arts and technology. The school fosters a nurturing community where students are encouraged to learn and achieve their fullest potential.

Impact

BCS consistently outperforms District 14 and citywide averages on NYS ELA, Math, and Science exams. With daily coding classes, free after-school tutoring, and yellow bus service, the school promotes a culture of positivity and social-emotional wellness.
