About Brighton Park Neighborhood Council

The Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) has been a beacon of hope for the southwest side of Chicago since 1997. Established by community leaders, BPNC focuses on organizing neighbors to advocate for essential resources in a predominantly Latino, low-income community that has faced significant disinvestment. Through grassroots organizing, BPNC aims to improve the quality of life for working-class and immigrant populations.

Impact of BPNC

BPNC has a rich history of addressing critical community issues, including educational equity, healthcare access for undocumented adults, and comprehensive immigration reform. As a member of major policy change coalitions, BPNC advocates for low-income communities of color throughout Chicago and Illinois, striving for a better future through community-led campaigns and direct services.
