Our Story

In 1988, Geoff and Ginger Worden embarked on a mission to support individuals experiencing homelessness in New York City. With soup, sandwiches, and coffee, they created a connection under the Brooklyn Bridge, which sparked the founding of Bridges Outreach. Over the years, this initiative has expanded its outreach efforts, providing essential case management services to help individuals secure identity documents, enroll in benefits, and obtain housing vouchers.

Impact

As of October 31, 2023, Bridges has contributed to a remarkable 23.4% reduction in unsheltered homelessness in New Jersey through dedicated street outreach, case management, and housing placement.
