Our Story

Founded in 1993 by Jim and Tammy Watson, Bridgeport Rescue Mission began with humble roots, cooking meals in local church kitchens and distributing them from a station wagon. Over the years, the mission has evolved, expanding its services to include addiction recovery programs, emergency shelters, and community outreach initiatives. The organization is dedicated to fighting poverty from the inside out, providing vital services to men, women, and children facing hunger, homelessness, and addiction.
