Our Story

Founded in 1995 by the pastor and senior officers of Bridge Street AME Church, Bridge Street Development Corporation is deeply rooted in the African American struggle for social justice and racial equity. The organization is dedicated to providing civic and economic opportunities to the residents and small businesses of Central Brooklyn, focusing on low-to-moderate income individuals and families.

Impact

Bridge Street Development Corporation has successfully supported over 1,500 individuals with tenant support and older adult services, employed over 1,300 young adults through seasonal internship programs, and created more than 400 affordable housing units, demonstrating its significant impact on the community.
