Our Story
The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) was founded in May 1999, inspired by the courageous journey of Kristen O’Brien Hardy, who lost her battle with breast cancer at just 31 years old. Her friends and family established BCFO to ensure that contributions would directly benefit local families impacted by breast cancer. Since its incorporation in February 2000, BCFO has focused on providing essential financial assistance, emotional support, and education about breast cancer, particularly for those under 40.
Impact
Since its inception, BCFO has significantly improved the lives of families facing breast cancer by providing financial assistance, enhancing screening rates through partnerships with local hospitals, and offering emotional support through mentoring and support groups.
Why Donate?
Your donation to BCFO directly supports local families in need, providing financial assistance for household bills, free screening mammograms, and emotional support through mentoring programs.
