About Breaking Walls

Breaking Walls is a transformative nonprofit organization that emerged from a groundbreaking arts and social justice project initiated by Fran Tarr in 2008. This initiative brought together disadvantaged youth from Brooklyn, NY, and Bethlehem, Palestine, fostering mutual respect and understanding through collaborative artistic expression. Since its formal establishment in 2011, Breaking Walls has expanded its reach, serving young people across 13 communities worldwide, including Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
