Our Story
Founded in 2011 by Kristen Faith Sharpe, a survivor of domestic violence, Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence Inc. emerged from the need for a dedicated support system for survivors. After sharing her story on social media, Kristen inspired countless others to speak out, leading to the establishment of this vital organization. Officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) in 2012, BTSADV has since expanded its programs and services to provide comprehensive support to survivors, quadrupling its outreach by 2014.

With a global network of nearly 60,000 individuals, BTSADV reaches over 30 million viewers weekly through its digital platforms. This unique victim-to-survivor model fosters a supportive community, offering hope and practical steps for empowerment to those still trapped in dangerous situations.
