Our Story

Founded in 2012 by John Iras and Ellen Lysik, Bravo Programs of America addresses the critical gap in support for foster youths transitioning to adulthood. Recognizing the challenges faced by these individuals, the organization was established to provide scholarships for those aged 18 to 26, helping them pursue higher education and break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

Impact

Bravo Programs of America has awarded over $276,000 in scholarships, with an impressive 79% of applications resulting in awards. The organization has positively impacted students from 15 counties in Michigan, with aspirations to expand its reach to all 83 counties and beyond.
